Sleep Pillow

Depression is an insidious disease usually brought on by a chemical imbalance in the brain. Clinically depressed people tend to have problems getting to sleep or sleeping restfully. The resulting sleep deprivation can then make the depression worse, resulting in more sleep deprivation, and so on and so on.

Those people who don’t suffer clinical depression but do suffer from sleep deprivation can actually feel the effects as depression. Feeling lethargic, tired, and irritable are common effects of sleep deprivation and can often lead to true depression. It’s a connection that scientists continue to study but that no one disputes. It’s critical, therefore, to get the best night’s sleep possible every night and a well thought out speaker pillow may be the answer for many.

The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind

There is something very close to you, which has been either
inspiring you or depressing you throughout your days. It’s your
Subconscious. Your intuitive mind. You are often so busy with
your conscious self that you forget that the mover and shaker of
all your thoughts and deeds lies deep within you.

Your subconscious mind has been receiving inputs from your
conscious mind since the day you were born. Good and bad
experiences, all the books you’ve read, the songs you’ve heard, the
praise and damnation you have received, they all sink slowly
through the film of your consciousness into your inner core. It
is the good stuff that rises to spur you on to great
achievements, but if negative messages have been accumulated for
too long, they too will reach out and drag you down.

The intuitive mind is a great co-worker as Fritjof Capra
observed. When Kekule the chemist fretted over the molecular
structure of benzene, he could come up with no solution. Yet as
he slept, he dreamed of two snakes chasing each others tails. He
woke up to the sudden inspiration that the structure of benzene
was circular!

The tale of the Shoemaker and the Elves, wherein the little elves
work at night to finish the incomplete shoes of the tired old
man, is also a metaphorical story of our Subconscious Mind.

Try it out for yourself. If you have a vexing task, focus hard on
it for a few days and then let it rest. After a few more days,
you will find the answers come floating hazily up from your inner
intuition. Grab the idea and then give it shape. Your
subconscious team mate has been working while you were sleeping
and has tossed up the solution(s) to your Consciousness.

If the Subconscious is empty or hurt, it cannot give you great
results. So feed it with good literature, music and loving
relationships. It will grow healthy and powerful within you and
then keep you supplied with many a Eureka moment of inspiration!

Intuition

Very early in our social and psychological development we have been
encouraged to use common sense, and base our decisions on logic. Very
few of us use our sixth sense or power of intuition to help us make better,
or more informed choices. Our sixth sense, or as we commonly call it,
intuition, is a gift given to us by our creator that helps us to tap into
our inner selves or our inner guidance.

What is intuition?

The Webster’s Universal College Dictionary defines intuition as direct
perception of truth, fact,etc., independent of any reasoning process;
immediate apprehension… A quick insight. The quality of having such
direct perception or quick insight. A simple way of defining intuition is
to consider it as the voice of wisdom within our being that guides us.

All of us at one time or another have tapped into the power of our
intuition or spiritual guidance as some people like to call it. You think
of someone you have not heard from for a long time and you get an
unexpected phone call or letter from that person. One morning on your
way to work you suddenly feel a strong urge to take a different
route to later discover that a deadly car accident took place that morning,
five minutes before the time you usually pass there.

How many times have you ignored your practical intuition or inner warning
about a person, a place, a relationship, a business proposition, a job,
a situation etc. Only to realize later on that if you had listened to your inner
guidance, you could have avoided the problems, unnecessary aggravations,
heartaches, deceptions, bankruptcy, loss, divorce, accidents etc.

My best friend Sarah had been dating Luc for three years. I seldom saw him
because I always avoided going out with Sarah and him together, so I knew
nothing about him besides what Sarah herself told me. Their relationship
seemed to be going well.

One day, I went to another friend’s wedding with Sarah and Luc. Since we
knew only the bride, the three of us, spent the entire evening together. When
I got home that night I had a strange feeling about Luc. Although he was very nice and I totally enjoyed his company, something about him was disturbing me but I just could not put my finger on it.

I avoided Sarah for two days because I knew she was going to ask me what
I thought about Luc. All my university’s female friends knew that my intuition about people was excellent, and as a result they used to consult with me before getting seriously involved with any man they were dating.

Sarah came to my apartment looking for me on the third day. “I know that
you have been avoiding me.” She blurted out. “Please tell me what did you find out about Luc at the wedding.” I replied, “I did not find out anything about him but one thing that I am sure of is that you should not trust him like you have been doing. From now on, when he tells you something check it out.” She knew that I would not tell her anything else so she left it at that.

Two months later, Sarah called me to tell me that Luc told her that he was going to be working late. She remembered what I had told her. So she took her car and she went to his work place. As she was pulling in, she saw him getting in his car and driving out of the parking lot. She decided to follow him to see where he was going. She followed him for 45 minutes to the suburbs. He pulled into a driveway and a woman came out of the house to meet him. The way they began kissing she immediately knew they were lovers and that he was cheating on her.

She left the place without him noticing her. She went back home and called one of Luc’s co-workers she had not seen for months pretending that she was happy that Luc had a new girlfriend. The co-worker told her that he was engaged to her and they were getting married in a couple weeks. The next day she called him and ended the relationship. He wanted to talk to her but she refused to give him any explanation, and she refused to see him again. He never found out why she dumped him.

A real estate agent knocked on my uncle’s door and asked him if he wanted
to sell his house. My uncle had not listed his house for sale nor did he had
a for sale sign on his front lawn. The offer was so good that my uncle called
my aunt at work to consult her. They were planning to sell a year later but
changed their minds and sold the place right away. These are two examples of the power of intuition at work in my life and other people’s life.

Your inner wisdom is your best friend. The power of your intuition will
connect you with all the goodness and the wisdom the universe has to
offer, if you just listen to it. Your practical intuition will always guide you
in the right direction or warn you of imminent danger. This inner compass
will help you make the best decisions for your life if you learn to tap into it.
If for what ever reason, you have been disregarding its guidance, I urge you
to recognize its value and use it to make informed choices that will make your life better. If you continue to ignore your intuition and its warning signs, after a while it will stop trying to help you and you might find yourself in situations that you might regret later on in life.

In my experience, when you combine the power of your intuition with
common sense and logic you make much more informed and wiser choices.
Doing this helps you to avoid regret later on.
